My car told me my remote battery was low ('98 740i), so I replaced it, but it still gives me the message. I didn't reprogram the key like the manual said to do, but it works fine. I have to be right next to the car, but it works. Why doesn't it work from a distance, and why do I still get that message? TIA :)
