No to be mean but i dont think a 17yo should have a car like This especially if they arent paing for it them self. I think you need time to appreciate a car and paying for it and ins teaches responsobility. IMO Btw my first car was a Yugo and i beat the living crap out if it but i leanred alot expecially mechanical work.

I am paying $54.00 more a month. This is considering I am insuring two othe cars with my policy (2000 MB ML430 & 2005 Chevy Avalanche). All vehicles are full coverage, free glass replacement, full roadside assistance, etc... I am only 33 and insuring all cars with USAA with $500 deductible and maximum coverage per accident. It really pays to be a US Army Veteran.

I'm 18 and mine is about $100 per month, no accidents, no tickets, and a good student discount ftw. I have 21st Century. Flameguard: I am paying for the car and maintenance myself.

maybe its time to shop for a lower rate. my driving record is clean as can be since i got my license 4 years ago.

$1,200 liability every six months for a young adult under 25 with a daily driver V12 and a perfect driving record, which will stay that way, under his own policy. Even still that is better than most kids my age and yes I do pay for it myself.

im about 2 and a half hours away. i live on the central shoreline here in CT.

you should try to make it to one of the meets that we have in rhode island every month (except for the winter months). I'm always trying to convince other 7 owners to get down there since i am always the only 7 there.

$ 1200/year -- car only (2001 model)
Other payments (personal liability, etc.) are hard to calculate, as they are shared between several cars.

Ya These prices are depressing i remember when i was young it cost me alot (used to get alot of speeding tickets). Same here tho after many years i can drive fast and i know how not to get caught and spot cops. Becides cops like to pull over noisy honda's Not me and my (old man car). I do miss the fact of paying less outside of Arizona. I have all the discouns i can excellent driving record and with my 4 cars insured 2 full and 2 liability i pay over 300 month for all 4

A couple of weeks ago, I was going 80 or 90, and I saw the car 300 yds behind me get out of the fast lane and i immediately saw the car behind him was a crown vic. the tell tale orange lights next to the grill always signal a crown vic. I put it in 3rd and got in the middle lane slowing down to 60 and he caught up and drove by me going 80 or so. Apparently he's allowed to go 80 though :shifty

In Boston, don't you have about ten law enforcement agencies on the road simultaneously watching you (Staties, Registry, City, County, etc, etc). And do people still drive with their headlights (Get out of my way, flash, flash).

I'm from up around Melrose way, btw.

Yeah, you're right. The staties are the worst hypocrites though, they go 90 for miles to catch up with drivers in front of them going 80.

Encompass Insurance, full coverage about $700/ year.
Mass insurance gets pretty high if you have a lot of surcharges on your record.

Autoplan - $400/month for a 2002.5 M3... because my g.f has less than 10 years driving experience and I wanted her to be able to legally drive the car.

UK prices converted into $

Age 40+
1999 740i (short version)
Annual Premium $900 6,000 miles fully comp protected (windscreen cover etc etc )

but a couple of years time I can get it on a cherished policy (over 10 years old) like most of my other cars and that will halve the premium (cool)

Insurance companies really screw anybody under twenty five because they think that we are totally reckless and thus our rates don't go down for a while. Just me ranting.

The good news is that by the time I am twenty my insurance will be cut in half or more if I don't have any accidents or get any tickets. I still wish I was under my dad because it was 500 a year for my 740.

Also msimp227 how do you like your rims because I have the same ones for my car?

I've heard it helps ALOT to have a female (wife/gf) on the insurance with you. Cause under 25 guys married or with gf's are safer drivers apparently?
