hey yeah, that was my car ! how did you find that pic....i know it was widely circulated back when it happened but its been like years

i think alot of people who track or want to track should see it, not so much to scare you, but to at least understand what risks your are taking. clearly, it was my fault...i lost my concentration and took a turn too fast, but no one is perfect all the way around the track 100% of the time (except michael schumacher)

so shit happens...let me tell you after surviving that, the next scariest thing was insurance...holy hell was i scared.

By the way, i can't find that rollbar thread you started...i want to get back out but won't do so until i get a rollbar installed.

hey, waitaminute

are you calling me fat ? :biglaughb

the roof caved in and pushed the rear headrest and back of my seat flat onto the rear seat, the instructor and i both slid through our seatbelts (NO HARNESSES WITHOUT ROLLBARS !) into the leg area

the next scariest thing was insurance

yeah, i was at summit doing a FATT event. i had been there several times and was running in Group 2.

i took Turn 3 to early and too fast (i musta been doin around 80-90) and when my car started heading off track the rear started to let loose so i yanked my wheel the other way, the rear came swinging around and we went sideways off the track up a tree and flipped

i opened my eyes, it was pitch black except for my face being pressed against the dome light which was hot !

anyway, they lifted the car pushed out the roof a little and wedged open the doors and got us out

insurance covered it, BSR the company prints various pamphlets that advertise FATT as an instructional/educational event so the insurance companies bought off on it and wrote me a big fat check....

that was nationwide insurance. they doubled my premium but after i cashed the check i dropped them and now i'm paying the exact same amount i was before with progressive. though i think progressive is a little harder to deal with and wouldn't have paid out as easily, if at all.
