Does anyone else's rear defroster not work? If not, was it the heating element in the back window that stopped working? Any other diagnostic things you can do to check?

I don't have power at the fuse. Same way with my blower motor. One day Ill take it apart and see whats going on. Hopefully fix it too. e21bimmer320i 12-01-2007, 03:37 AM Mine doesn't work but it is because of a connection in the fuse box. I don't have power at the fuse. Same way with my blower motor. I don't have a multimeter though. Layne 12-01-2007, 08:09 AM I don't have a multimeter though. You can get one at Harbor Freight Tools for $3 that is surprisingly adequate. You can't fix the defroster or much else that's electrical without it. jkinrade 12-01-2007, 10:23 AM Yeah, I've got one of the Harbor Freight ones, and it works great for the price. It's no Fluke, but it'll do everything I need it too. Also, they make conductive paint specifically for fixing defrosters. I can't remember where to get it, but a quick search should turn it up. |
