I got my predator chromium today from bav auto and installed them based on this diy:
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=820659

I followed the installation exactly and used the accessory wire and tapped into the wire in the ecu so that they would be on whenever the car is on.

Everything worked great and I couldn't be happier.

Fast forward 3 hrs later and now they no longer work. I drove a few places and checked them every time I stopped and they were working fine. Then when I pulled up at home they were no longer on. I've checked all of the wiring and nothing has moved or some undone at all. I even disconnected all of the wires and redid them yet nothing.

The only thing I could think of is that maybe I blew a fuse somehow. Does anyone know which fuse this may be that I blew? I don't feel like going thru every single fuse but if I have to I will.

:help

Did you check the fuse in the power wire for the relay? If not then double check your power and ground connections - OR see if your trigger wire came loose. Sounds to me that it is on the upper end (near the relay) than near the ballasts as both sets of lights quit working at the same time.

good luck,
bill

I've done all that except for the fuse in the power wire relay. How exactly do I do this. Is it in the relay box?

You should be able to see most of your fuses (as long as they're OEM) easily just by shining a light on top of them.

I was able to figure out the problem. The bolt I was using for the ground wasn't good enough so I added a washer to it and it works fine now. Thanks for the replys.
