Is using a buffer a once a year thing, only when paint correction is needed? Or should you use the buffer every time you apply wax/sealant?

View Full Version : How often to use a buffer like the PC? beshannon 11-29-2007, 01:20 PM Is using a buffer a once a year thing, only when paint correction is needed? I guess I was concerned about over doing it. VINNIO 11-29-2007, 03:52 PM Use It Every Time No Dbout!!!!! nickdeck 11-29-2007, 06:15 PM If you're applying a non-abrasive wax or sealant, no reason to not use it every time. It helps distribute the product evenly and completely better than doing it by hand. jesselyons2002 11-29-2007, 07:36 PM I use mine's for applying wax and cleaning the carpet. G. P. Burdell 11-29-2007, 07:41 PM I use mine only for polishing about every 12 to 18 months. I can apply Klasse AIO and SG more quickly by hand with a microfiber-covered foam applicator. Steve530 11-29-2007, 08:06 PM I bring out the PC about every 6 months when I do a major detailing. I use it to apply Klasse AIO. I think G.P. Burdell is right that you can apply AIO quicker with a MF applicator than with a PC, but I like the way the car looks after I polish with AIO on a white pad. I have tried applying Klasse SG with a black pad and removing SG with a MF bonnet, but it's just too much trouble. mbcoops 12-05-2007, 09:33 PM I only use it when I'm stripping everything off the paint and doing a full detail/correction of the inevitable swirls and light scratches. Now, actually being able to get rid of those things is what I'm working on... mb |
