I just bought Hawk Track/Street Front Brake Pads and i didn't buy rotors because i believe they are fine. When i brake i don't feel any kind of shaking or vibrations but sometimes i do hear some squeaks. So i am guessing i replace the pads and than see what happens? Do i HAVE to buy rotors when i replace the pads on my 99 M3? Thanks!

You don't have to replace the rotors if they have not reached the minimum thickness and they are not scored.

True. But you def need to get them cut before putting on new pads though

If your pads aren't worn yet, you just might wanna put some anti-squeal on the back of them and see if the squeak goes away.

if you just installed new pads then they mite just be squeaking because they have to be broken in

Whether to replace the rotors is solely a function of their thickness and condition. If well above minimum thickness and not deeply grooved you can re-use the rotors. If worn close to or below minimum thickness they need to be replaced. Likewise if deeply grooved. The total allowable wear on BMW rotors is only 2mm, which in almost all cases means that they can't be turned to clean up grooves and wind up above minimum thickness.

Just had mine done this week. What a difference. I think they have been on there for about 5 years. No more pulsating when braking. :)
