first of all i tried search and there were references to a "crash sensor", however it wasnt specific
enough for this perticular vehicle.

What vehicle does. key in ignition, turn key and absolutely nothing happens. The dash lights come
on but starter does not engage. Dash lights do not dim at all.

What i have done. tested battery "load test" good. shorted starter "cranked", no start. tested
injector pulse "none".

At this point would believe that the antitheft has been engaged. I tried disarming system by doing
the three way turning of key in drivers door. Did same in trunk.

If there is a crash vehicle disable switch in this vehicle can someone properly tell me where its
location is?????????

Possible that its pure coincidental that the key went bad and its being imobilizer mode.

Please help,, i need to get this running so i can sell the car and recoupe some losses from the
wreck.

Thank you, Jake

Check if your positive battery terminal is the one that has a firing circuit (that disconnects the main battery cable but allows some juice to flow to certain circuits
like emergency lights). If it is, you either replace the positive battery cable (about $400.), or you re-insert the cable forward into the terminal and hammer on that portion of the terminal that grips the cable. Of course, you have to remove the cable first from the battery and the main electric circuit.

Its called a BST(Battery safety terminal) and when your in an accident it blows and switches off power to the fuel pump and alternator but everything else should work.

I am pretty sure my e36 has a roll over sensor in the trunk, I would imagine it would only shut off the fuel pump so you dont take a gasoline shower if you flip your car and a fuel line breaks. check to see if you are getting fuel pressure, that way you will see if its more than just the ignition switch. I dono about the 7 series, they always have somthing "unique",
never heard of the BST thing but I am no expert by far.
did the air bags deploy? I am pretty sure that the airbag module or somthing kills the ignition when the air bags go off but I would think it would start back up after but agian not 100% sure on that either. I hope my lack of knowlage is some help.
