View Full Version : insane parallel parking!
JedzE36/5 11-25-2007, 01:10 AM so i was at our tailgate for the OU game and my buddy said that he would move his white explorer so that i could park for free. anyways the amount of space i had to park in was about 10-11 feet (based upon my friend Steven's feet). long story short, it took about 10 minutes with several people helping me but we managed to get the car parked. i had to pull an Austin Powers... 1 inch forward, cut the wheel, 1 inch back, cut the wheel, repeat. here is my victory stance! we even drew a crowd to watch!

Silo55 11-25-2007, 02:24 AM That is AWESOME, nice victory stance btw hahha
I would never try somethng that close of a fit
JedzE36/5 11-25-2007, 02:28 AM haha it was awesome. first i backed in jsut to see the fit and for some reason it drew like 30 people over to watch. i was going to give up and people kept yelling at me that "paying for parking is too easy!" we were going to lift the car up but then we realized a lot of the mini is plastic so no on that. :)
speedster 11-25-2007, 10:29 AM jed lets throw some tint on the windshield, it would set the mini off.
DocDuvi 11-25-2007, 01:00 PM haha good parking man looks like it was put in there with a fork lift

i would only if you give me a few receipts that will get me out of the tickets.
tokbandit 11-25-2007, 01:58 PM holy crap batman......thats a tight fit......congrats.....be cool if you could have video tape it and then speed it up ......
TechnoM3Girl 11-25-2007, 08:15 PM you are nuts. thats pretty cool though.
e46sooner 11-25-2007, 09:39 PM That's awesome Jed...all Sooners staying at the Sooner Hotel at my pad loved the pics/story! That pic needs to go to some fan club website or something!
Michelle was like..."I hope he can get out!"....to which I replied..."well, it's Sunday now, I think that he got out since he was able to get to his computer to upload the picture"...too funny.
JedzE36/5 11-25-2007, 09:44 PM haha thanks. actually the sports animal crew was walking by and they filmed it all. i dont know if it will end up on the website or anything but if it does it will be cool. luckily when i got back to the tailgate after the game, the ford focus had already left. i think it actually would be easier to get out but too bad i didnt get to try.
BMWbeauty416 11-25-2007, 10:38 PM HA! Nice!

Calypsocoupe96 11-25-2007, 10:49 PM Nice job!.......I'd just worry about the car in front and in back when they pull out.
speedster 11-26-2007, 11:47 AM i would only if you give me a few receipts that will get me out of the tickets.
what ever you need.
BoostInduced 11-26-2007, 03:13 PM would have been easier if you had taken that crowd, picked it up and set it in there
JedzE36/5 11-26-2007, 07:40 PM we did try to pick the car up. but the only place to grab the car was on the wheels. we couldnt lift it by the wheels b/c they kept spinning as soon as we got it an inch off the ground.
BoostInduced 11-27-2007, 04:22 PM thats why you get the skinniest person there to get in and press the brakes!! in high school we picked up this girls bug and moved it down the street. took 14 guys 2 hours. it was pretty funny. but we got to use bumpers and rockers and all kinds of stuff you couldnt.
JedzE36/5 11-27-2007, 08:56 PM now that you mention it... i could have pulled the EBrake and put the car in 1st since it is FWD and that would have worked. hmmmmmmm anyone down to try?!?
maddmike 11-28-2007, 02:50 AM I guess it musta took an hour to get in that ho;e!
M3 Muscle 11-28-2007, 12:41 PM I bet half the front tires are worn down from cutting the wheel on a dime to turn every time...haha.
