So I'm searching through the forum and hearing from everyone on how easy it is to replace the fuel pump. Cool. But, I cannot get the bloody fuel pump collar to budge on my car. It's crusty and a little rusty. 160k miles above the snow belt might have taken it's toll. What kind of tool might I use to get that collar off!?!?

Nevermind, folks! Some strategic whacking with a screwdriver and hammer loosened it up! Awesome.

well now that the OP has solved his problem... I found the same threads earlier saying its an easy, but the gasoline scares me.

due to poor mpg lately i think i need to change mine, am I right? (might need plugs also)... i doubt either have been changed yet...how hard should this be on my car? how long should it take? I'm hesitant to do this myself but think i should be able to handle the job.
