View Full Version : E39 523i stall at McDonald
asama 11-24-2007, 02:47 AM I just can’t figure out what went wrong, but my car ALWAYS stall at some MacDonald drive through after I order the food! The car idles beautiful when I queue up … after I order the food the car will either stall or rev will drop… Even if the engine hasn’t stall, but I will still have to switch off the engine and restart the car, otherwise my car won’t run smooth.
I am in Sydney Australia, I wonder if theres other people experienced similar issue?

Steve530 11-24-2007, 03:17 AM Seem like your car doesn't like McDonald's. Does this happen at other fast food drive through lines, or just McDonalds?
BlackSapphire 11-24-2007, 03:18 AM Watch "Super Size Me" - then you'll understand.

No problem with KFC or Berger king, and not every single McDonald's, just the newer McDonald's with LCD display order system.
Steve530 11-24-2007, 03:26 AM Do the KFCs and Burger Kings have LCD order displays?
e39dream 11-24-2007, 03:27 AM the car is telling you no more fast food.
asama 11-24-2007, 05:17 AM Do the KFCs and Burger Kings have LCD order displays?
No... KFC and Berger King hasn't got LCD ordering system.. Just can't work out how the new ordering system makes the car stall...
nc540 11-24-2007, 09:33 AM You didn't see this guy screwing around with your car while placing your order, did you? I've heard he only likes Aubergine E39's (and cheeseburgers).

nice car.
I love Mickey D's frys. So I cant say anything.
BlackSapphire 11-24-2007, 12:37 PM I remember when I was in high school. I like Burger King's burgers better than McDonald's but I loved McDonald's fries. So, I'd go through both drive-throughs for one meal (also, McDonald's Doctor Pepper was better than Burger Kings). :D
jamesdc4 11-24-2007, 01:58 PM Are there any cell phone towers within view from the drive thru??
Steve530 11-24-2007, 02:22 PM ... (also, McDonald's Doctor Pepper was better than Burger Kings)... :D
What? Oh yea, you're from Texas. :)
Ellicit 11-24-2007, 02:32 PM thats weird
e39dream 11-24-2007, 02:46 PM mcdonalds does not have Dr. Pepper around these parts. (I'm a Dr. Pepper addict)
ezbmr 11-24-2007, 03:05 PM Mc Donalds? Your car isn't a diesel, no need to be picking up that greasy shite

12CoolDude 11-24-2007, 05:53 PM "STOP eating at Mickey D's" is what your ride is trying to tell you. Would you put cheap cooking oil in your crankcase or diesel fuel in your gas tank?!?!? I think NOT so listen to your BMW and only use 92 octane food for your body...LMFAO!

Not mine. I keep track of every Aubergine I see for sale. I want my car to look like No. 2 or No. 4
