It comes out just pull from one side of the cupholder till it comes loose!

I like the idea of the mod but I think the gloss looks out of place with all of the matte plastic. I think wood trim there would be sick! Then our cars could be like the 7 series!

It comes out just pull from one side of the cupholder till it comes loose!

Once you have the two screws out, you'll find that the upper middle portion of the cupholder assembly will catch on the metal frame around it. It's tricky but mess around with it until you succeed. You might be able to get a panel tool between the two pieces to help it clear.

Good luck.

Are you sure?
I was actually looking at this diagram last night before I found this thread.

It looks like the strip the ASC ,PDC Seat heaters buttons go in to me.

They call it = INSTRUMENT PANEL COVER

And in the OP's first post you can see a little of the P/N on the bag and it dosen't end in 136....

Im confused as to why you would want to replace the cupholders with a high gloss delete strip unless you had the technical graphite trim like a couple of you do. for the people with the regular setup, why not just leave the cupholders closed? it would look like your car is missing an option or something with a big blank matte black strip there

I'm interested because I have the technical graphite trim. And mine are stuck open....

I'd rather pay 20.00 for a delete than 40 for a replacment cupholder I'll never open once its installed.

Thats where I'm commin from.

you get the matching high gloss radio trim. my bmw parts guy said that was the only real front delete.

haha I can definitely understand that if you need to replace the cupholders anyway, especially since you have the TG trim
