What are the options when the rear window defogger is doa? Yes there is voltage, and ground, just no continuity across the grid, and the grid seems corroded.

Anything less expensive?

You could always try repairing it. It's hard to do right, and sometimes only lasts a short while - but it's an alternative to new glass.

I am parting a '74 out. You are only a short sunny drive away! I would have to test to make sure it worked correctly. G/L.

Assuming that it works, how much are you asking for it?

$100 sounds fair. That is if the coils work. How are you even supposed to check somthing like that? Fluke-87 on OMS and measure resistance from end to end? If its that easy I could have an answer for you in two shakes of a lambs tail daddy-o.

I guess maybe less then. I am trying to part this car out and really have no idea how to price things.

Yep, just check that there is continuity between the terminals.

the clear ones are cheap new while the green ones are about double.
if you have a green one its probably worth 100 if it works
