Picked up my 335xi yesterday and noticed the dealer has stuck a advertisment on my trunk. What is the best way to get it off without damaging the paint. Thanks P.S. 335's are BEA-utiful

Is it a plastic badge? A hair dryer and some fishing line will take it off. If there's any residue left over, 3M's adhesive remover will take it off. Make sure you wax the area when you're done.

Man, I hate those ugly dealer badges. I made sure that my dealer didn't deface the cars it sold. See if you can peel it off -- I'm pretty sure you can as it will have a nice clearcoat under there.

I don't like em either, but at the same time they don't bother me much. I don't want to go through the hassle of removing it and it is just a small sticker next to their plate decal , so it doesn't really ruin any lines or anything.

I've removed all but one dealer decal when we got our cars. Looks much better without.

I bought a used car from a dealer once a few years back (not a BMW). I told the salesman, after negotiating price, "OK, I'll buy the car if you get your ad off of the back of it." You wouldn't believe how quick that sucker came off!

To me, it's pure arrogance on the dealer's part to stick anything on a car they sell. Unfortunately, it's become something of a "tradition" that allows them to get away with it.

My car came with a small plastic dealer decal. I used a credit card to lift an edge, then peeled it off. No scratch and no damage.

I read that some people have to use dental floss on the solid type of "dealer badges".

yeah those badges are bull shit. I would not even buy a car until they took it off and there was not a mark left on where it was. Im very picky about little crap like that

I bought a car a few years ago with very specific instructions to the sales guy that there better not be a dealer sticker on it when I picked it up - or I wouldn't even take it. Took three trips through the "new car delivery prep" department before they figured out that I did really mean it! :)

Your supposed to get 500 dollars off the car when you let them advertise like that(at least they used too). This happened with a friend over @ Weatherford BMW in the Bay Area.
