I was wondering? only agter riding the clutch for a while in traffic, it chatters coming out of first gear, I really have to give it a lot of gas and ride it to stop/prevent chatter. Is this somewhat normal when in traffic for 30-40 mins?
Thanks all,
Jason

Could be dead tranny and engine mounts contributing to the shake. Also, glazed clutch components may have uneven material transfer from disc to metal. Could be time to get a new clutch and resurface the flywheel.

I don't think that you have a problem. My clutch works the same. That is, it only "chatters" in hot weather (90 degree plus days) after sitting in traffic for a while.

Supposedly, the way to know if you have a bad clutch is if you are going up a hill, and giving it gas, and the car does not accelerate, but rather starts to slow down (because the clutch is slipping).
