I currently have an S52 motor in my 93 325is that I am selling. Reason I am selling it is to get a 2.8l and going to put some serious boost through it. I just rebuilt the engine and it has ample power! I bored the block and went with an oversize piston and it has shown itself to have paid off. THis sale will include your choice of an M50 or M52 intake manifold. Currently, the engine has 1200 miles on it since full rebuild. I will list what all was done to engine.

List:
MaxSil™ w/Tefcote / 2nd over / 86.565mm (+0.20)
Weighed and shaved the rods to all matching weight
Replaced crankshaft bearings.
Replace All seals/gaskets on entire engine
Replaced head gasket with stock head gasket(victor reinz)
Ported and polished the cylinder head
Removed and inspected the camshafts-OK!
Decked the head
Replaced valves, guides, retainers(stock), and all lifters!
Replaced timing chain/cam chain/oil pump chain
Welded the oil pump nut on-still able to remove chain if necessary
Replaced timing chain rails/guides

We run a BMW service/performance shop in Cary(Raleigh), NC so I will extend a warranty on the engine for 90 days. I have been very pleased with the power output of this engine. The low end is absolutely amazing!

If you have been looking at replacing your engine, then I assure you will be happy with this one as I have been.

You would receive everything from the intake manifold down to the oil pan. I cannot sell the wiring harness, but you will receive the fuel rail and injectors. This sale will not include the althernator, A/C compressor, or P/S pump. If you want these left on it will be another $400.

This engine is ready to drop in and drive! My asking price is very fair for a FRESH S52: $5000.

I do not see any need for pictures since they all look alike, but email me for rebuild pictures if you want to see those. Please email or call for serious buyers only. I will be more than happy to answer any and all questions you may have. I do prefer local pickup-Cary, NC 27511, but am willing to deliver down to Georgia on up to Maryland for a minimal fee. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!

After having driven similar setups with stock 3.2L's w/bolt ons I would say it is pushing close to 290hp/tq.

It has not been dynoed, but that is how it feels. Thank you.

Unless you've stroked the crank, the displacement of that engine is 2966.29 cubic centimeters or 2.97 liters. That's still not too bad though. It's pretty close to the displacement of a 1995 M3.

sorry bud. your sig says newbie right? It started out as a 3.2 liter, so i doubt it shrunk to a 3.0L. Thank you though-are you interested in it?

Oh, my bad. I thought you said that it started out as a 2.8liter, not that you were replacing it with a 2.8:dunno

any idea what would have to be changed to replace stock S50 with this engine?
