so, if I idle the car in "N" (I have a 5-sp standard) and I rev the motor slow up.. when I get to around just before 1.5K I get some vibrations.. and when I get to JUST before 2K I def. can feel some vibration... above that it's cool... ?

Either something is out of balance, ie balancer, your car is missing or you have a mount going bad.
