I know I need to do motor and tranny mounts and front wheel bearings, and Brandon also needs to do motor mounts. So, here's the thread for the planning of the getting together to fix our ever-breaking, ever-lovely vehicles. Who else has stuff needing to be fixed before the long, cold winter ahead? Dan, is your garage still open for business?

ok Dan can't post at his desk so he asked me to post this up for him.

Dan:

"Since I cannot post here at work, I’ll host a project day. This weekend, I will be out of town, so anytime after that will be fine."

I'm out of town this weekend as well, I figure most people will be busy with Thanksgiving festivities, so how about the Sunday of the weekend following? Which would be....December 2nd.

i can do the 2nd....but i'll be gone after that in New York. haha....i doubt anyone wants to drop the tranny for a starter, so ill just do my brakes i've been holding off on so long. unless anyone has a jack to lower the tranny with.

you shouldnt have to drop the tranny for the starter. with the tranny mounts off and the nuts off the motor mounts, you should be able to tilt the tranny/motor back, take the 2 bolts that hold the starter in off, and slide the starter out. at least thats how i did it when i put the LTW flywheel in.

I've been wanting to get involved with the MOFOs ever since I bought my car last Spring. Unfortunately, I have no experience with working on my car (although I did change my corners and sidemarkers the other day, heh), but...if you guys would be willing to let me watch and learn, I'd be willing to bring alcohol or pizza or something. :)

To "formally" introduce myself: my name is Kristin. :)
I don't work in Midwest City, and I wasn't driving anywhere near there today, so I don't think that was me. I live in Oklahoma City and work in Norman.
