'93 bmw 325i sedan - 5 speed - calypso red over tan - 166k

bought this car about 3 years ago. it's served me well, but it's time to move on. when i bought it i put new tires on it and replaced the heater core and coolant w/ fresh bmw coolant. the ac has also been recharged and is ice cold. from the outside the car isn't bad to look at. typical blemishes you'd expect from a car this age. paint is not faded, but there are scratches, small dents, and such. the interior has seen better days. some of the pillar cover panels are missing, 3 of 4 seats have tears, the glove box lid sags, the headliner is starting to sag in the rear, and it's generally filthy and in need of some tlc. i will be pulling the stereo out and i don't have the oem stereo parts, so there will be holes in the door cards where speakers should be. someone could restore it if they had the desire.

the brakes need replaced, the shocks/struts/bushings are all pretty shot, the oem lsd is worn out, one of the front calipers might be sticking, one of the rear license plate light bulbs is out, it needs an alignment (drives straight, steering wheel is just off), is due for an oil change, and it's been riding a little rough lately...but randomly.

i don't want to put any more money into it, so i'm ditching it.

so if i understand correctly, the majority of the known problems are just cosmetic. But the engine seems to be doing fine? Is there anything going on there that we should know about?

seems like a great deal. I have all the parts this car needs, wish you weren't in IL.

that's the deal. i do add a quart of oil every now and then. no blown head gasket or anything like that. as i stated, it has been running a little rough, but not all the time. i think the tires need rebalanced (typical mild wheel shake). every once in a while it gets worse than usual...don't have the will to figure out what's wrong there. just tired of putting money into it. i forgot to mention that i've also replaced the driver's side window regulator and i replaced the front control arms/ball joints last year. that's why the steering wheel is off. :) i have also had the center carrier bearing and flex disk replaced (the flex disk had rotted to pieces). all parts (heater core, control arms, carrier bearing, window reg, etc, etc, etc have come from pellican parts).

i still drive it to and from work every day. (5-10 miles total daily)
