View Full Version : FS:my 1996 BMW 328i. Warsaw,Indiana.
Righteous 11-18-2007, 04:14 AM This is the same car I had for sale a month ago. The price has been reduced.
$7,000
1996 BMW 328i
130,000 miles
With the sport package (seats, wheels, and springs are different with sport package).
Good: 6mo old Fuzion HRi (allseason tires). 5mo old Brembo rotors and Hawk HP+ pads all around. 10mo old oem clutch. Full size spare tire.
Issues: The performance Hawk HP+ pads are noisy by nature (may be getting some quiet pads soon). Power steering pump needs replaced (also might be resolved soon). Drivers door lock needs replaced. Need to do that brake light failure switch replacement.
Here are the pics

You mean after your license suspension ends? :lol
Nice-looking car, though. Very clean. GLWS.
Righteous 11-19-2007, 12:01 AM Lol. My court date is the 18th of December, so I am still on the roads for now. I will still own a BMW and be on the roads no matter what the law says, driving is in my blood, and no better machine than a BMW to do it in.

I'm not so sure that driving "no matter what the law says" is a smart idea... your license may be suspended for years... or worse.
dinanm60 11-19-2007, 02:30 AM Just sold my 540. I live in ohio will drive and give you 5500 cash this week in consideration maybe a new clutch...little things.Let me knoe my name is mike. 937 608 6820 is my phonw number provided. Hopefully hear from you soon.
Righteous 11-19-2007, 03:54 AM Damn, ok I will consider that. In the mean time I am going to resolve the power steering issue. Don't make any plans yet, let me look at some other offers.
Righteous 11-20-2007, 05:28 AM Well, I put some ATF in my power steering fluid reservoir and the noise associated with steering and braking hard has gone away. I am very happy about this. So happy, that I decided to take some pics tonight. To bad I don't have a good camera. I used the only one I have, 7.1mp digital Kodak camera. Give me some recommendations for a new SLR (DSLR) camera or what they are called?

ATF fixed both braking noises and the steering? Is there another underlying issue?
And what is wrong with the driver's door lock?
As for DSLR's, you can't go wrong with Nikon or Canon.
Righteous 11-21-2007, 09:45 PM Yes, my ATF fluid was very low. I put some in and it fixed the noise. I am getting a deal on some Hawk HPS front pads today, so once I install them the brake noise should be very minimal.
The locks, well I haven't check that out yet. Tomorrow if I have time, I will take the door apart and see if I can fix the actuator myself (I have heard of them being "stuck", and you just got to move a part or something like that). If not, an actuator I believe is something like 45-75 dollars from BMW. I plan on fixing that soon. But just remember you can always lock the car up when leaving it, but just not while you are inside it.
Btw, I think I am going to a local camera store tomorrow and talk with them about cameras. Don't know which is better for me, Nikon or Canon. Also, would probably want to get another lens for the camera.

Look at this one!
^Wow, that made me change my mind about Boston green.
The lock issue doesn't sound too bad. I was worried if it locked at all.
A few more questions:
Is there rust anywhere? quarter panels, floor drains, inside fenders?
heat and ac work?
any rattles or excessive wind noise?
Any crashes/ fender benders?
VIN?
Nikon vs. Canon is a matter of preference. Button layout is important, as well as the feel of the camera. I'm no pro, so minute differences in picture quality don't really matter. Lenses do, however, and both have a wide variety to choose from. The camera shop should help a bunch on how to choose one.
Righteous 11-22-2007, 07:45 PM There is a small rust spot on one of the fenders. I will take a picture, its not bad at all. You wouldn't notice unless I told you.
Heat and ac work great.
There has been no wrecks. I can get the VIN for you. It is, WBACD3324TAV17233
