Was kind of contemplating this kind of idea for a long time now. Local meets, drives do happen once in a while but how about something like mod days? There are lots of skilled guys among us and some not very handy but definitely willing to get started and get hands dirty. Some have tools while some have a few.

Many folks do order stuff (mods) and plan on installing them and have them sitting in their garage just waiting for time or willing to outsource to a local indy.

Agree, all mods do not involve same amount of time and effort but most of the stuff can be done in reasonable amount of time with proper supervision from someone who's done that before DIY.

Let me know what you guys think on this idea and if it makes sense, we can figure out the logistics of the process. I remember meeting Aurash and Garrett (NakNak) at couple of local BMWCCA events and they mentioned they do this kind of stuff in a much more smaller group of friends.

Chime in your thoughts folks..

I'd be down. Been needing to install my cabin filter and fuel filter. I have experience with brakes, suspension, cooling, lighting and just random other things.

Hey I was actually going to post a thread on this. I'm new to the area, and looking for some gear heads to help on a brake install.

I just ordered some rear rotors and Axxis ultimates to install over the long weekend coming up...

Anybody available to help?

Ryan

The problem with these things is always space. Good idea though, but the Holidays are coming up.

:D

im down to help, but an install day isnt a very good idea, unless everyone wants to install something small. cause jobs like a brakes takes some time, and things don't always go your way. things like that are better off left to do at your own place, with some guys called over for help.

Appreciate your inputs guys... Agree space and time can be an issue. I will work on some details and post here for a tentative day.
