Hello!

Sorry to disturbe your 6 territory as I'm a Z owner, but I need your help! :help

As I was searching the forum for info on keyless entry and start I came across this post by BHR4CE 1 http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showpost.php?p=8089481&postcount=4

He talks about this "Convenience Package" that I think maybe does just what I need. I'm mostly interested in being able to start my Z3 without having to take the key out of my pocket. I've read many threads about the push button start systems, but they all seem to require the key being inserted first. The "Convenience Package" on your cars doesn't seem to require this, am I right?
Do you think I could get all the parts together to have this system mounted into my Z?

I'm not needing to do this on my car cause I'm lazy or I think it would be cool, I need this cause I'm disabled and am not capable of inserting the key into the cylinder. :rolleyes

I hope you guys can help me out, or point me in the right direction. I've tried to ask BMW here in Italy, but they have no interest in helping me! :(

Grazie!

Yes, it's called Comfort Access.

You will have to get it retrofitted with a number of changes to your steering column and other components...

But there is/should be an easier way for your Z. Get a remote starter added to your Z. Check on remote starters and see who in your country installs them and has done them on BMWs before.

CA=Comfort Access is only supported in the latest version BMWs (2005 builds to current)
