Anyone have any experience with Concour's body shop? Are they a "BMW Certified Collision Repair Center"?
I have a small rust spot on the trunk of my car that I want repaired before it snows. I got an estimate from them in spring and the place seems like it is state of the art. I would prefer that a BMW shop work on the car as they are the most familiar with the make. Thanks.

I've used them 3 times with mixed results. They replaced the front bumper cover and fender liners of my 323Ci and did a great (if expensive) job. My 528i was rear-ended and they did a poor job. Paint didn't match and they "forgot" to straighten the trunk lid. So they had to do the entire job over. The second try was flawless but why didn't they do it right the first time? Then the 528 got rear-ended AGAIN... Just needed to repaint the bumper cover and that turned out well.

They seem to be more expensive than other shops. I just got an estimate from them to repair the front bumper and fender of the 528 (that thing sure seems to get bruised a lot) and their estimate was $1600. Another shop I've used in the past (Lemke Motors in Menomonee Falls) quoted $900.

Thanks for the info.
The rust spot is small (surface), but the estimate is high! I was quoted $810 for the repair. I don't mind paying if they do a great job, it's my baby! As with any service, I guess it comes down to who does the job and what kind of day they are having. LOL! I just hate having anyone touch my car, but I can't do bodywork so I'm stuck! Also, rust repair is not warranted so if they do a crappy job I have no recourse. That scares me.

Other BMW people I know have said Prestige Auto Works does a good job for reasonable rates. I have no experience with them.

I have had my 2002 fully restored at Kaliber in Port Washington 262-284-4560, as well as this week having my 330i front taken care of and picked up this week. Bill is very nice, fair, and does a nice job. He also has several BMW's of his own!
