DRIFTM42CANO 11-23-2008, 09:24 AM i believe the ls1 wieghs less then a regular inline6 AwesomeIsLuke 11-23-2008, 09:47 AM an ls1 is an engine that they put in american muscle cars such as camaros and firebirds you DONT want 1 in a bimmer :rofl You don't go to the Engine Conversions forum very often, do you? Le Nitro 11-23-2008, 10:05 AM an ls1 is an engine that they put in american muscle cars such as camaros and firebirds you DONT want 1 in a bimmer lol are you for real here? LS1 is one of the best eninges made. It's relatively light, and with a few bolt ons he can see upwards of 400+ hp. LS1 E36 swaps are fucking sick. OP YOU WANT TO DO THE SWAP!!! DOOOOOO EETTTT Check the engine conversion sub-forum metro32168 11-23-2008, 10:20 AM yeah, saw someone else had a LS2 conversion. YoPaulyzSIck 11-23-2008, 02:47 PM Why did you buy a Bimmer if you wanna put an LS1.. Sell this one and buy ur self a Pontiac or a Chevy MIMI1 11-23-2008, 03:25 PM LS1 FTW someone do an LS7 swap:evil2 Le Nitro 11-23-2008, 03:32 PM Why did you buy a Bimmer if you wanna put an LS1.. Sell this one and buy ur self a Pontiac or a Chevy because e36 one of the best handling cars made couped with a chevy v8 that is reliable and sooooo cheap to make big HP numbers. Sounds like a good conversion to me. YoPaulyzSIck 11-23-2008, 05:43 PM because e36 one of the best handling cars made couped with a chevy v8 that is reliable and sooooo cheap to make big HP numbers. Sounds like a good conversion to me. Sounds stupid. Better to have the original with that hp then a conversion. If u pull up to me on a Civic wiht the M3 engine might as well get a M3 . not be a wanna be xtremsiege2 11-23-2008, 06:59 PM .. i don't know much about cars and i want to do an LS1 engine swap Realistically, how many of you actually see this happening? metro32168 11-23-2008, 08:30 PM nil CR1777 11-28-2008, 03:20 AM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AC-5G7hpRYI&eurl http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gczqFptxtA http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Io4UqP2izhs shaeff 11-29-2008, 04:33 PM LS1 swap FTW. :) If I had more time to kill on custom crap, I'd go LS1 instead of putting together a custom turbo kit. AwesomeIsLuke 11-30-2008, 01:11 AM Sounds stupid. Better to have the original with that hp then a conversion. If u pull up to me on a Civic wiht the M3 engine might as well get a M3 . not be a wanna be That is the stupidest attempt at a metaphor I've ever read on this forum. Civic with M3 engine doesn't begin to compare to an E36 with an LS1. shaeff 11-30-2008, 02:21 PM ^ Agreed 100%.
