I noticed today the base of the center console around the stick is actually seperating on the passenger side. So the wood grain piece is pulling up, its hard to see in the photo, but if you look to the right of the stick you can see the woodgrain is actually above the rubber molding next to the passenger seat. On the drivers side it is fine and tucked underneath. so its not just that its pulled up, it actually like it has swollen and seperated, like cardboard.

I think i found this part on realoem.com, but the price is 267.00, anyone else ever had this issue, also what are the names of the wood grain that were offered in a 2003 540 sport. wonder if i can find this part from salvage yard? its not that noticeable but quite annoying to me, you know how it is.

Anyone know how to remove this piece, maybe if i can remove it i can see why it has pulled away from the molding. I believe its part # 51168157455 on realoem.com if you need a refrence to what part im talking about.

There are several do it yourself on this. Please search and you shall find. You can also find that part cheap on ebay.
