I am thinking about getting a 96 328is. I just called the BMW dealer near Allston, Mass and they quotes 210 to check the car over. Is there any place near by, maybe a good indipendent shop that can check the car over for a little less?

I would strongly recommend calling Chip at Autobahn Automotive in Natck, MA. not exactly close and I'm not sure what he would charge, but he is good.

I will have to have the people at the used car place drive the car to whever and have it inspected so if it is more than 30 or so minutes away i dont think they would do it.

How about Mighty Motors in Cambridge? The owner Jim Albright is a CCA tech advisor. I think they're in the process of moving, but try them out. 617-492-1010.
