I need to make a one-time trip to the snow. Winter tires are required. My car is a 2003 BMW 320 sedan with 205/55/R16 tires on BMW alloy wheels.
I have been offered a set of 205/65/R15 tires on BMW steel wheels off of a 2000 5 series. Can I use them?
many thanks
Possibly the rears, The fronts will fit but will stick out about 2" from the fender.

They'll probably go past the fender. Also you should use hub rings to properly install due to diff in E39 5 series 74.1mm hub bore and your 72.6mm hub bore

Thanks to both of you for responding. It sounds like I have an offset problem with the 5 series wheels. I'll probably mount them to see what's happening, but on to plan B.

They'll fit when noobs start doing a search before asking a question.
Which means NO. They don't even have the same hub size.

wishful thinking 2"s out from the front.
lol.
Use hubcentric rings,
you probably are describing the oem 15's bbs from the tire sizing
it will fit, do it.
