I hate to make my first post a question, but I bought an 88 735i today and am going about the process of getting it back to daily driver condition.

One of the first projects will be to get the windshield replaced, as there is a crack running from top to bottom right down the center.

I've searched the forums, and haven't found any specific info on this topic relating to Indianapolis.

I have found suggestions to use PPG or other well-recognized brands, which I intend to follow.

Otherwise, just wanted to say hello to all, and hope to become more than just a lurker here over time.

You will probably end up paying around $270 for this one. I would not stress too much about which glass is used on your vehicle unless you want to pay a lot more. PPG glass may cost you $50 more.

Try giving Safelite a call and they can help you out in Indy. Tell them you got a local quote for around $270 and they will match (or beat) it. Good luck.
