your rear seat has a seatbelt for the middle section.... when not in use the seatbelt clicks into that to keep it out of the way.

I removed mine a long time ago - it's pointless and I think it rattled.

I just shove the lap belt behind the armrest - the buckle and most of the belt just fold up and tuck away, and the rest of it's easy to wedge between the seatback and the armrest. It's had to come out maybe three times in 2 years.

i always thought why didn't they just put in a retractable seatbelt or leave it out totally. the middle seat is all slippery not really good for sitting anyway ><

i didn't know that was for that? i always just fassened my middle rear seat belt, and tightened it all the way. and hide the strap behind the rear center armrest. i'm neat like that, and it looks good.

i just buckle mine up and tighten it as much as possible. then fold the rest back along itself and tuck it under the seat. looks tits

Take all the rear belts out. I don't even have a rear seat. That'll keep those darned kids out.

we have a special room for special people like yourself called OT. most d00ds moms are either out of work strippers or hookers & several were born w/ cocaine related birth defects, but we're all one big happy family :shifty

How the heck does the seatbelt click into that piece? Either I am retarded or mine is missing some plastic piece. Does anyone have any pics?

This forum is fun. I am soo glad you guys were here to spread the good word of book e psalm34. I love driving mine and have not a single mod. In time. I like it so much better than my old 328 e36. Not to put them down. It just is different and I am happy.

It doesn't click ... it just kinda slides in there and is held by ... friction I think.

Don't have a pic of an e34 sedan (cause I have a Touring)...but I do have a pic of my old 1985 e30 with the middle rear seat belt tucked into the holder on the rear parcel shelf.

My memory of it...was that the belt slid into it and was held there...but it didn't "click" into it like the lower seat belt buckle...there is no way to release it if it did.

Um, the seat belt does not come out of it. Your middle belt is likely stuck under your seat bottom. Find it, put the end in the mystery piece, pull belt tight, enjoy new found BMW nerdity.
