I know that at least a few of the forum members were going to be running in the first SCCA auto-x of the year at Southeast Community College....

how did you do????

Armen.... I wanna see the "comparitive" times!!! :D:D:D

Well, my best time of 4 runs was 39.549 (or so), and my Co-Driver (Jason Brozak) ran a best of 38.618 (or so).

I'm happy, he runs RX-7s normally, and tends to beat much better cars with them, plus he has a history of beating experienced drivers in their own cars, so less than 1 second off is a win in my book. :)

I saw Jeff out there (not driving), but didn't get a chance to talk to him.

The car did quite well, I consistantly ran it to 8k, and once to 8.5k (there was smoke that time. :) ), but had no issues and the carb worked well as long as the revs were up.

Still waiting for the results to be posted at http://www.nrscca.com - I really want to see how I stacked up against the 325is that ran. :)

It was a good time. :) Mojo came out for a few minutes before helping his GF move, and got to ride with me on my first run. I think he enjoyed it. :D

Next one is 4/13 in Milford. Justin and my friend Greg Mitchell are thinking about going out... I can't afford to run again for a while. :( $30 buys a lot of Corvair parts. :D

hey... hows the blue-oval coming along? you get the motor out yet?

I had a terrible day with the escrap on Monday, made the near-fatal mistake of thinking I could get the engine out without removing the tranny. Yeah, that's basically impossible. Over 4 hours I just kept making things worse. Finally wised up and quit, then went back at it yesterday and got everything out by dropping out the subframe.

So it's all on the floor now, now I need to clean it up, bolt it all to the new motor, and start dropping it in. Looks like I'll have to pull the hood too, to have room. Oh, and I had to open the AC since you can't get around the lines. Who designs this crap? :)

you want the answer to that question or not?????

you stopping by dinner tonight, as long as you drive the German, no one will get hurt.

The German has teeth missing, bruised ribs, and for some reason can only walk on it's hands. :( Manages to move along reasonably well on them, though.... :)

(I'm pretty clever. :) )

Justin and I are kinda waiting for a non-hooters meeting...

My shock-humor friend lumps poor designs in as being the product of 'Fat Japanese Hippie Women' engineers. :)

You know, if that light at Calvert had gone my way yesterday, I would have had a shot. :) I had a 20 second lead at that point.

Constarn it!

but the drag-race up High street would have killed you... :D:D:D

and I gave you the light at A Street... I could have slid through.... :D:D:D

Yeah, I figured you didn't go through on that light, I was just too far ahead considering how slow I am uphill right now. :)

I should be untouchable in a drag race 'cuz I can shift mad quick YO! Plus I have 4 times more gears, that should help, even though it's tough to double-clutch. :)

Until next time then...
