Well, I have to get my annual inspection done for the sled. I'm expecting to have to change the Windshield and the exaust from the cats back (goodie...). Aside from that I'm just praying he doesn't find any oil leaks, the guy around here has been failing cars like it's the thing to do!

So, on the note of exhausts... I'm betting that I'm going to need everything from the cats back. So where do I go? I see a full OEM system on the bay for under $600, which is WAY cheaper than buying it over here... even with shipping! I know Eisenmann is a good muffler, I just don't see it being worth nine bills... even in a group buy. Is there anyone else out there that makes systems? Or different manufacturers that make seperate pieces that will work well together? My googles have left me without nearly enough information.

Thanks ahead guys!

Just a suggestion... if he fails you up a Spang... try heading down here to Ramstien. There are 2 stations here, on the main base and one in Vogelweh. I have had one fail me for a little oil drip before, went to the car wash and wiped her down good, then went to the other one...Pass!

BTW... thats one nice 540.. Ill be on the look out for it on A62.. :D

Good Luck

damn, didn't know that they were that anal over there... no inspections or smog laws at all where I am in Oregon... Also only costs about $56 to register for 2 years...

Taking a car off the road for a oil drip is insane.... :O

I didn't know we could do that. I will definately look in to it though. I figure I"ll drop the belly pans Monday and steam clean everything I can at the Auto Hobby shop first. That and I have to remove my Drivers/Passengers front tint...

Thanks for the intel Dew

It's not that they are necessarily anal but I think the guys on base over here have a deal going with a local mechanic, I've heard they're actually under investigation but you know how rumors are. I have also found that if you send your wife in with a car they fail when you took it in they will pass it almost every time. My 88 Mini kept failing for brakes so I replaced the rear brakes and they still failed it, took it home and had my wife take it a couple of days later (I didn't touch anything on the car) and they passed it with no problems.
