Looking at a 07 335i coupe with manual. Car is certified from a bmw dealer, and has 12K on it. Looks like it was originally delivered in Sept of '07, so it's an early production car. Any concerns about this? I've also heard of some issues w/oil temps, etc. Can oil cooler be retrofitted? Anything else to look for? Car is space gray w/red leather, premium, sport, heated seats. Will probably sell for $41K or maybe a little less. Is it better to just order a new '08?

Sport package should already have the oil cooler. Check to see if the fuel pump has been replaced. They updated the pump to provide for less failures.....if that car hasnt had it replaced than expect that it COULD happen.

Or just look forward to having a wonderful experience and the get the biggest grin from ear to ear that you've ever had from owning a car!! Enjoy your new ride and post pics when you get a chance! Since it's a CPO'd car, you have warranty that will take care of anything that could go wrong. Just drive safe and have fun!

+1 anyone who is on this forum cares about their car. which begs the questions, why sell it?

Fair question.

I care about my car also. I actually think this is one of the best all around cars I have ever owned, and I love it just as much as (if not more than) the day I bought it. But, I just moved and have yet to sell my other house, so I need to cut back on some expenses for the time being. I definitely don't want to sell it, but sometimes other things have to take priority over our cars. (not often, but sometimes) :)

miles will be the same 12k and 12k once you drive it from Boston to CA.

Why would I drive to CA when he is in Virginia? ;)
He could also ship the car from Boston for about $600-$800.

I'm not saying my car is any better than the one he is looking at, or the miles make any real difference. I just wanted to let him know of another great 335 out there.

Certified also gives a much longer warranty, and he won't have to worry about a private seller doing something that voided his warranty.

oops, I looked at the location of the first poster and not the OP by accident. yea, then VA is not too far. and the chances are you will get a better product from someone on this board... we are all so anal about our cars! :)

Sorry, hadn't checked this thread for a bit. I may be interested in your car. Can you post some pics?

I'm going back in forth between a 335i coupe (manual) and a 328xi coupe (manual, sport, prem, h/s) that I found with 5K for $37K and change. My dilemma is whether to go for the AWD and less power or go for the power w/no AWD (don't want to step up to the 335xi). If the 328xi I found was $35K, it'd go for it.

I apologize for the dirty car, but it has been raining here all week. I'd be glad to take some more over the weekend when I have a chance to clean it.
The car is stock, except for the tint. I also have a set of replica M6 wheels with Blizzak LM-22's available. (complete with tire pressure sensors)

Just got my 335i on the 9th and have had it for a week now and absolutely love it! The handling and performance are second to none...This is my 1st BMW and hopefully not my last...There is a "kinship" among BMW owners..when I see other BMW owners on the road I feel somewhat of a a "connection" as if they are checking out my ride and sending me back positive vibes..sounds crazy eh?

Buying an '07 335i - any issues to watch for?
What to watch for? Look out for traffic cops with radar/laser guns. You have to try really hard not to be going over the speed limit in just 2 or 3 seconds after starting after the light turns green. Another issue is you get people that want to race you sometimes... you'll kill them if you want to, but again - don't get in trouble for trying to race... that's a very high fine in California now. Other issues are if you turn your DSC and DTC completely off, you might burn up your tires and have to pay a huge price for replacements. It's more fun to drive alone, but when you have passengers in the car, they usually get scared and think they're going to be in some sort of danger for some strange reason. There's lots of issues with these 335's that you've really got to watch out for, now that I think about it. :stickoutt
