I was discussing this with a buddy of mine. I was complaining that whenever I try on new wheels, it always seems to be my rear passenger tire that rubs against the fender. My buddy's E36 was also like that, and there are others that we can think of that have had the same issue.

When I look at my fenders, comparing the passenger to the drivers side, I can see that the passenger side is sucked in a bit more.

I know the passenger side suspension is set up to account for driver weight on the E36, but do E36's have less room in the rear passenger fender as well?

I don't think I answered my own question! I know it's lower on the passenger side, but I am beginning to suspsect that there is actually less room in the rear passenger side fender on our cars.

Oh, and as for my exhaust, I LOVE IT! Just wish that it would sound as loud as it does when it's warmed up, without actually having it warmed up. Way better than the Gen1 remus I got that broke coming up to Canada cause it just rusts and disintegrates.

It's random, some cars will rub on one side or the other first. If your 1/4 panel looks sucked in then it has probably been hit and fixed.
