Hey Guys,
Tried searching but couldn't find anything I liked. Im looking for a good sounding, defined growl but nothing too loud. Looking for a mangaflow set up or comparible. Whats everyone running on these?
Thanks,
Mike

good choice on the magnaflow. i always use them on my custom set ups.
i had a 533i not too long ago, until some lady in an explorer decided to wreck it
i had a thread somewhere of a custom single 3" stainless setup, that some guy built. check out http://www.mye28.com and you'll probably find what your looking for. great group of guys!!!
the exhaust that was on my car when i bought it was a hackjob. it was very loud due to having no resonator. if you don't want deafening, make sure you throw a resonator in there. have fun, the m30 sounds awesome when unleashed.

if you'de like, i have a custom setup from the downpipes back. 2down pipes into y-pipe to o2 sensor into single inlet cat, cat has 2 outlets which is then welded to the cat back section of the original Boysen muffler with resonators and dual chrome tips:stickoutt. Let me know. 80 bucks and you've got the exhaust, down pipes and all.

How old is it?
Thanks.

Its been welded tight and leak free. You just need to find a clamp to clamp the downpipe section to the rear section. Its an after market high flow cat.

So will I be able to pass MA emissions with that cat? I have straight pipes now. How old is that cat?

You should, if its anything like Ct emissions. as long as the rest of the car is in good running condition. Its probably about 5 years old. I inspected it while working on the exhaust less than a month ago, it isn't melted, plugged, or anything like that. you'de be hard pressed to find the whole exhaust system for that price anyhow. it doesn't leak, i made sure of that. i can throw in the manifolds if you'de like. You pull the manifolds though. i also replaced the bosch o2 sensor when I welded up the exhaust.:rolleyes i can throw that in 2, that alone is a $50 part at the least. its the bosche spliced sensor, but i spliced it to incude the original connector for any e28. your call.:cool

No need for manifolds, thanks. So is it one welded piece setup or is there a break where it can be un-bolted?

the break is after the 2 into 1 collector where the o2 sensor is located, then the back half is from the cat back into the muffler. Its a small cat, probably a foot in length. Its a single 2" inlet with 2 smaller outlets that are welded directly to the muffler/resonator section.
You have P.M.
