jwnoodle 11-12-2007, 11:26 PM It is an 05, seems reasonable enough to me.
I spent a little less than that on an 01 LSB with 23K miles.
BillyTheKid 11-13-2007, 01:23 AM The engine is just breaking in at 50K - check it's history and see if the oil/fluids/inspections were done on time (or better yet, more often than the 'required' amount). If the car was well/over maintained then yes, it is a good deal and that is not too many miles; whereas if it was maintained by the new BMW standards (oil change every 15k miles) then you might want to dicker with that price a little.
Cheers,
Bill
hammerk 11-15-2007, 01:41 AM I'd go with an 03 or 04 with less miles myself. YOur gonna love driving the car and before you know it the car has 80+ miles on it.
Duknov007 11-15-2007, 04:48 AM seams like a reasonable rate..however i agree with the every 15k mile oil change situation with BMW dealers..
rudeboim3 11-15-2007, 04:06 PM i recommend changing the oil every 5k miles...
this car has full options and the color is sweet! i would buy it if he drops it to $32k... has the inspection II been done on the 60k miles? that'll cost another $1200 or so...
and yea... once you get it, it is very addictive to drive so the miles will be up 20k before you even realize it...
Try something with lower mileage especially for that year...
It gets addictive to drive and you'll rack up as many as the previous owner in a couple years...

makaio 11-17-2007, 12:13 AM If it was well maintained both maintenance and cosmetically, than go fo it. With that many miles, chances are that most of the miles are highway miles.
KyleH 11-17-2007, 12:45 PM I agree with makaio. If you're looking only for resale value, higher miles hurts. But a later model with higher miles represents a car that's been driven more frequently (good) and a car that's had more highway miles, also very good. Price seems about right for the year/mileage.
JTRM3 11-17-2007, 07:53 PM I'd take a pass, way to many miles, there are so many for sale, keep looking.
makaio 11-18-2007, 01:18 AM 60,000 is not way to many miles. Yes from a resale perspective it is, and yes there are lots of cars out there. But just because it has a certain amount of mileage on it, does not mean it should not be considered. PLus I bet you could get it for $33,000 if you reeally haggled them.

Thats what a PPI is for and a check of the maintenance history. Not every good car comes off a dealer lot. You can find gems out there, you just have to do more than walk up and look at it.
sbblowz 11-24-2007, 09:27 PM i cant believe he got 17 for that car with 240,000 miles
