i have an 04smg and thinking of getting the discovery software package headers exhaust and the software. I've done the basic mods to my last m3 but the software was done already. I have really know idea of how to install software or how difficult it is to put in. Should i just get it done by a shop or is it an easy job? Any help would be great.

It's easy. OBDII ('96+) cars require "Shark"-type injectors, which plug into your OBDII port and upload new data to it.

Don't take this the wrong way.....but why are you posting so much in this section? Did you get tired of being belittled in every other section of the forums? Do you own an e46 M3 now? You are posting useless information on topics you clearly have no knowledge about. It is rather annoying.
To the OP, with D/A you will have to remove your DME. Check out the instructions, its not too bad, and the turn around is quite fast. Just give Sean at D/A a call.

Sorry, I didn't read his post completely about what he was looking for.
If you want to critique my posts, at least do so in context--I can't think of another area in which I have propagated misinformation for a long time. :)
Thanks for your "don't take this the wrong way," too. Don't take this the wrong way, but apparently you don't know very much. :lol
BTW, I am getting a new car. Won't say what it is yet, but seeing as how you're in VA, if you want to meet up, we could resolve our differences by m4d tyt3 str33t racing, y0. :D

Nah, I was merely showing the dude that a) they exist, and b) he shouldn't jump to conclusions. The 'tone' of his post was such that I am recommending something that doesn't exist...among other things. :rolleyes I simply didn't read the original post carefully...my bad.
BTW, I don't know him from Adam. But I see his location is VA so my offer is still out there.
