is it worth me trading my 1995 M3 with only 33200 original miles on it AND my 2006 Suzuki GSX-R1000 with only 700 miles on it for a low milage E46 M3? please tell me of the pros and cons of doing this as im really thinking about doing it. im moving myself and the fiance to florida within the next 6 months and the only reason i havent done the trade yet is the fiance loves the bike and doesnt want me to get rid of it for when we live in florida. not making any jumps into anything but i thought i would ask...

Personally, I wouldn't do it. I like bikes too much and I sold my race bike and now I have an E46 M3. It doesn't make me happy like my bike did, but I also raced my bike and haven't got the same thrill from my M3 yet. If you just use the bike to cruise around and like that a lot, then still don't do it. But, if you just use the bike for transportation and for looks, get the M3!

Nope - sounds like you are trying to make too much of a sacrifice on an emotional purchase instead of appreciating what you already own. Besides, if you are in a committed relationship and SHE loves the bike - your best bet is to keep the 95 M3 and the bike and save your nickles and dimes until you can buy the newer M3 (if you still want it then) when you can do so comfortably. If you get rid of the bike it is one more thing she will hold against you since she has an emotional attachment to it.
Good luck,
Bill

thanks guys....the unanimous concensus is that i would be stupid to get rid of both especially both in the great condition they are in. i guess i just have to maybe one day replace the GTi with the M3 when the time comes for that.

And you can mod the ba-jesus out of your E36 M3 that you already own and make it crazy wicked fast. Or you could just keep it nice so the car doesn't depreciate too badly. I would say keep your rides you have now. Two things for one is not a good idea. Especially when one of them is a bike which I am sure you look forward to the great days to take it out.

I really don't see the point of having a sport bike in Florida, it's way too hard to find good curvy roads and even harder to find a day cool enough to wear proper gear.

i agree about having one in FL. i live 45 minutes from the GA mountains and love to ride. Would hate going riding where it is flat everywhere and no curves. Plus the ability to ride with no helmet would prob end up biting me in my ass. It was just this once and then BAM!!! squid......
good luck with your choice

Keep the 1995 M3 man...I miss my 1996 M3. I still feel they handle better.

keep the e36 and the bike.
mod the m3, with those low miles its begging for some forced induction.

yep...still a unanimous concensus...i drove an e46 m3 and i must say it feels as though its too wide. you dont feel one with the car like the e36 but maybe i was justifying keeping the e36.
