ipod still going out randomly... nothing new there noticed that the 2nd day
I'm getting the stiff brake at start
cold weather my TPM gets confused (says underinflated when not the case)
Heard some creaking like something was loose in the dash
one time my car wouldn't start for 5 min, I got the yellow exclamation mark
gas mileage (no leadfoot on brake or gas) is no where near advertised
$47 bucks a refill
AC is very weak!
other than that, a great car.
Danny 335i 11-11-2007, 11:27 PM I feel for you.But i think your the minority. I have only 2500 miles on my 07 335i coupe,6mt,sport pack. The car has run flawlessly from day one with everything working perfectly. I couldnt be more happy with my car.i just hope everything keeps up the way it has so far,and i believe it will.If it doesnt, thats what my warranty is there for.Again sorry for your problems and good luck.

I get the iPod disconnect on rare occasions but mostly in the morning after leaving the car overnight. Not frequent enough to annoy me, but I believe there is a S/W update to fix that but I'll probably wait till my next service visit and mention it to my SA.
Gas mileage is never as advertised, all car manufacturers are very ambitious in their EPA listings, but then fault the EPA for their testing procedures. That being said, some people have reported great mileage here.
BTW, your fillup id 47$ and you complain? I need 55-60$ every fillup :( (yes gas is more expensive in Canada).
A/C on BMWs usually weaker than American/japanese brands, but in the summer I noticed it is very decent and much better than on my 97 e36. what car did you own before this?

Wow. Hopefully just a run of bad luck that won't continue.
TTBMW 11-12-2007, 01:10 AM well sent ya a message regarding the start problem...possibly dealing with the Fuel pump connections as other have had for a while since the 335 debuted.
trek1500 11-13-2007, 01:38 PM Nice reading these comments as I am on the verge of closing a deal on either a 2008 328i or 335i...still working on the details, options, price...etc.
That's why it's great knowing that there is a forum like this that exists for future owners and current owners...what better way to get a feel for what you are about to get into than hearing from the users!!
I've been entertaining the thought of a BMW for quite awhile..I'm finally at a point where I can confidently plunk down the cash for one of these babies and of course being one of the biggest ticket items I've ever purchased...asides from my home..I want to make sure I get every bang for my buck! Keep that feedback coming!
Beer Goggles 11-13-2007, 01:47 PM I've owned mine for about 5 months and 5,500 miles....here's my experience.
Problem area
-Ipod disconnect. Seemingly my car was one of the first to have this fixed, and it spent 7 days in the shop, until they replaced a MULF2 module. After that it works fine, never disconnects.
-A little buzz from the seatbelt pre-tensioner, but it doesn't happen all the time. It's probably at a specific point in how much belt is out.
Pros
-Still love the sound of the car through a tunnel...pretty good for stock turbo.
-Still love to hammer through the gears and watch it effortlessly climb to 100mph
-Still love the subtle beauty
-Still kicking myself for getting black. Pretty but lots of work. But I wanted the car and didn't want to wait.
Fuel mileage is fine...I am averaging 22.8, and get over 25 on the freeway...if not more.
TPS will read low when it gets cold.
raceyBMW 11-13-2007, 04:05 PM It was a pain at first with the black for me, but I just use the waterless quick detailers and the California Duster and i can keep it pretty clean for quite a while without full on wash/wax.
I have not had the TPS read low on cold days yet.
Beer Goggles 11-13-2007, 04:29 PM You live in a low dust area...it don't rain here for 9 months.
ssigur 11-13-2007, 04:36 PM E92-Just past the one year mark 5000 Miles. No problems at all, so far. Hope it gets better for you.
raceyBMW 11-13-2007, 04:37 PM Low dust? Maybe if you don't live in a construction zone like I do. Also, we only get like 15 inches of rain a year on avg, Riverside probably gets like 10-12, so not much difference. We are in a Semi-Arid climate just like you guys. The California Duster does wonders, just keep it away from the felt around the sunroof, the red fibers stick to that stuff like crazy.
I just had my yellow engine light come on the other day, and I felt my power greatly reduced. I pulled into a parking lot, turned the car off and back on, and was fine after that. I kinda have a feeling this is the beginning of my fuel pump going out. Will be out of the country for the next two weeks though, so will have to worry about it when I get back.
Beer Goggles 11-13-2007, 05:38 PM I thought when I was there for the Great American Beer fest that you actually had some humidity. I've long used the CA duster, but don't have one for this car yet. I'm still trying to get my buffing skills down. Swirls drive me nuts. And I just got a scrape on the hood from something on the freeway.
Denver was really nice, wish I had more time there to go out and check out the town.

Just noticed yest. while parked in direct sunlight how many swirls and fine hairline scratches my clear coat has now. I just pressed the "ignore" button. If I start worrying about this, I won't survive the winter season. I will just give it a nice detailing job (more accurately pay someone to do that) next spring which will hopefully remove all these and anything else Mr. winter throws at it.

Wow...just got mine and absolutely love it! Fabulous ride! Ipod works great! Bluetooth works great! Check back with me in 3 months...
19k miles and only issues I've had was a steering rack replace and I tend to accelerate too hard.......but thats not a problem.
GatorM 11-28-2007, 02:52 PM I have 5500 miles on mine.

Good to hear this type of news! Being a first time BMW owner there is a bit of fear of the unknown but with a rock solid warranty there is a certain peace of mind knowing that it something does go awry you won't incur a huge expense! As it is...I have 1000 miles on mine and absolutely love driving it! I think that's the attraction eh? The fact that it is what the motto says.."the Ultimate Driving Machine"!
scrapin 240 12-14-2007, 10:14 PM the tpms will show low air, because of the cold, and it happens to almost all cars/makes in the cold.
