I have a digital climate control in Fahrenheit in my 98 M3 and I'd like to trade it for a Celsius unit (I'm European... Fahrenheit doesn't mean much to me). If anyone wants to go the opposite way, let me know. If you're not local (Seattle, WA), we each pay to ship the part to the other.

Mine is in perfect condition, no wear on the buttons, all lights work, etc, so I'd expect one in the same condition to be traded.

Apparently the climate control can be switched back and forth from F to C, but only with a special tool that only dealers have, and I'm sure they'd charge an arm and a leg for that service, so that's why I'm looking to trade instead.

...Why don't you go to a dealer and ask?

Bump... still looking for a swap. I checked at the dealer and they want to charge 1hr of labor for the conversion, which I don't want to pay. And I'm sure you don't either. So let's trade then.

My unit (98 M3 Sedan) is showing celcius and I want fahrenheit - AND I'm in the Seattle area. I dont know how to remove/swap the control units though.

I'll trade, but you'll have to help me swap. Interested?

- Tim

Yes, I'm very interested, especially since you're local!
Removal is really easy, no worries about that - we can do it when we meet up. My car is currently not running (troubleshooting supercharger-related problems) but if you come to my garage in Kirkland, we can do the swap there. Does that work? PM me for more details.

Oh actually I just realized that you can't send PMs (personal messages) yet because you're too new to the forums.

My cell is **EDITED**, give me a call. Thanks.
