Hey guys, if youre reading please know that im in need of some serious advice. Recently i got my 2006 325i from a body shop after an accident, i noticed that the "brake" light and the "DTC" light on my dash had turned yellow. I called up the shop and asked "is it safe for me to drive in wet conditions?" since i couldnt turn the DTC on or off and the light remained yellow. They said that as soon as i replace my front brakes that the DTC would be working fine as well and I trusted them.
Today going onto a turn in 2nd gear about 20 mph and 3k rpms and i spun completely out of control and managed to straighten myself out but i have a gash from a tractor on the back right of my car. It had rained the previous night but traction was fine at 80 mph in 5th.
So now it has come to the point where i deal with my insurance and dealing with the auto body shop. Any and all help is appreciated! thanks guys.

If you're having issues with your traction control and your brake light is on then there could have been any number of things that could have caused the problem. I'd suggest covering your ass and have it inspected by another shop to make sure the car was actually safe to drive. If they did any repairs to the parking brake and didn't adjust the cable correctly then that could have caused a problem. If the traction control system isn't off and is just malfunctioning then that could have caused a problem. If the shop sold you a car and told you it's safe to drive when it really wasn't then that's a lawsuit.

If I may add to the matter...
The DTC (dynamic traction control) light does not have anything to do with the front brake pads in the first place.
And there are 2 brake indicator lights (again, not related to the brakelights which has its own checklight). One is turned on by the brake pad thickness sensor, and another by a malfunction by the ABS.
I agree with NOVAJOE that you should have the car checked up by another repair shop.
And I suggest an authorized dealer since any other would not be qualified to deal with
DTC's. Also, their findings will have a bigger value just in case you have to deal with
insurance companies or lawsuits.

My first thought would ordinarily be that the driver just entered the corner too fast. But on further though I suspect something else was going on here. Worn out brakes won't cause the DTC & BRAKE light to illuminate. Worn brakes have a different warning. So I'm a bit suspicious that you have more problems than just needing new front brakes and very concerned about the body shop's knowledge. Since the car was coming out of a body shop, it would be reasonable to assume that an accident was why it was there. That raises the possibility of hidden damage that could affect the DTC/ABS system and possibly result in it activating when it shouldn't be. If ABS engaged one or both of the front brakes during the turn it could easily cause a spin.
You need to find out why the DTC light is on and that means having the car scanned by someone with the appropriate BMW diag system. If the light is on because one or more wheel speed sensors are inop the DTC/ASB system can probably be exonerated as a cause of the spin. But if the failure is elsewhere in the system it could be a cause of the spin.
