Looks like theres something big under the hood like a supercharger, etc.I guess thats the look there going after. it does look preety cool. Not my cup of tea,but it still looks hot.

Is this hood lighter in weight than the original? If so, what is the weight difference. I think more people would be interested if we could take some pounds off the front end. Otherwise, it's just a different look.

Negative. Much better to put the money into fenders, TASTEFUL aero pkg.

Those must be a bitch to clean though.

Interesting...how much is that hood? How much weight savings if any...I'm not going to be overly critical, but my 335xi does tip the scales about 500lbs. heavier than I would have anticipated...shaving anymore weight at the factory would have most likely resulted in more expensive, lighter materials...and we don't need an increase in price...I had a tough enough time swallowing the current sticker price.

I don't think I'm going to worry too much about cutting, weight, but I certainly don't want to add any. I've even considered going on a diet myself, this may be the least expensive, most intelligent weight to shave 40-50 pounds off the car and who knows, I might even fit better!! Not that this car isn't already a perfect fit!!

Like the wheels a whole lot. Agree with Myrakan, must be tough to keep clean though. Unless the hood is really doing something functional other than saving a few pounds, can't say I'm crazy about it. Seems to detract from the sexy curves.
