i am a little farther north in torrington, ct i was wonerding the same thing

im from morris ct, which is far, but waterbury also which is a 20 minute drive up 84. Theres a few good euro meets all around the danbury and new haven areas. Im friends w/ most of the vw/audi guys down there and am down there most weekends/some weekdays.

yeah, why don't we start a monthly or even biweekly meet? down here in NC, we have weekly and monthly meets, mod days and get togethers. most of the people became my good friends...and it is never a boring day with them.

id definitely like to start something like that here. mod days are most fun...good beer, food and tools.

Sounds like a plan to me. I know theres a meet up north in CT that upcoming Sat (its in this section of the forum) .. very few seem to end up near our area though sadly, theyre always up in the boonies or in the dirty jerz

that, is probly by far the best idea this bleak little subforum has seen. i think if we had a better organized, scheduled sets of meets there would be more ppl at them.

problem is, its getting cold here, and I for one put my car away after the first snow. doesn't mean we couldn't have a winter beater meet tho!?!

Yeah, I live 0.2 miles from I-84 so thats not a problem. Once I settle in, I will try to setup a good meet.

I drive my car year round, but winter beater meet is okay too :)

try hitting the ctvalley.org local chapter, winter gets a bit quite here. There was a Karting event last weekend at the kart track in Wallingford

well if your in danbury theres a few weekly meets around anyways. In new haven i know trheres a few, theres some on the turnpike, and theres one every first friday at starbucks in danbury

no idea, its hosted by hatcitydubs, an all euro club from CT. Its mostly dubs though, as the name implies. I believe its right off of exit 2 from 84, idk where exactly it is, all i know is how to drive there. Get off exit 2 and turn at the light and its right there. Ill get specifics for you but im in a rush right now.

you should def go to the berlin turnpike meet on dec 1st though, it will be a good welcome and im sure it wont be hard to find someone else from around your area to roll down with or something.

People meet on the weekends at the starbucks on the brewster border at the end of mill plain rd. It might be exit 1? It is a plaza with a block buster and staples in it. Lol i still get confused by the exit numbers here because i don't pay too much attention to them.

I see vdubs at marcus dairy which might be exit 2 off 84. You get off the exit to the mall and it is right there. Or you can go one further and pass the porsche/vdub dealer, take a right off the exit and its there a 1/4 mile up.

You are going to see plenty of cars around, especially in the spring and summer.

I am opening a restaurant in Danbury right across the street from Candlewood lake in about a month. I have a giant Lot, so rest assured we will be BFC friendly, fun times too....Fusion/Sushi/Hibachi/Lounge.....I assume springtime is when the meets will start happening....but I think Saturday afternoon or Sunday afternoons will work....I'll broadcast the grand opening in the local section here so long as the mods allow it....I expect a solid representation from you guys..

theres a car meet almost every night during the warmer months in danbury, right off of 84 at the starbucks parking lot.. not too exciting, mostly little honda kids and whatnot.. but there are some nice cars, sometimes.

Hey! I grew up in the greater Danbury area, and my wife's parent live near the airport. I haven't noticed to many BMW specific meets in the area. I tried to drum up interest in a meet either at the mall or at Marcus Dairy but it never got momentum. You can also check out the New England regional forum too...welcome to the area. What brings you here?

starbucks is usually good when hatcitydubs is there, they always do complain about all the honda kids tho. They move down to marcus dairy later on around 9 after all their people show up and around the time the honda kids show up so they can get away from it.
Monday nights at Ikea in new haven arent bad, its a vdub meet hosted by soco dubs.

Also, to the torrington guys, im in or around torrington quite a bit.

only really nice car i've seen at the danbury starbucks in a while was this one guy's lambo.. other than that its been honda kids... which, of course, are annoying. i wish people would race a bit more tho. thats just my .02

Yeah i have a silver 540 with Syle 66's. There is another silver 540 with the other wheels. i forget what the style number is but it looks just like mine. he works on Winsted Rd up near exit 46. not sure which one of us you saw.
