Finally, after having the magnificent E46 M3 on the market for 79,500 australian, someone bit the line and is interested. Im sad, I personally don't want the old man to sell the M3, but it also means, that he will pay more attention to my car, given that I have to give it up to him now. Oh well. Was nice whilst it lasted. Anybody else have an experience like this, almost like someones died in the family, but it doesn't hit you until they are gone...

It was originally his, He gave it to me, since he got an M3. now hes probably gonna bunta it out. Given that the lack of a sports car will eventually get to him. Im kinda counting on that to get my car modded. I got good plans for this car... Besides, I feel obligated to have something 25 years older than my rich mate, but still will kick his ass on the mountain. That will keep me satisfied. N/A is the first go. 180hp+ (we australians can squeeze a little more power out, compression, emissions laws etc.) Then Supercharger eventually, in 5 years or so from now.

Humm, i kinda got the opposite thing, my dad bough his 88' M3 back (which he bought original and sold in 94') and since then it sparked interest to get the e21 running so i'v had it all summer! :) Great for me... but he never lets me drive his car :shifty... only once, and you guys will think im crazy, but i kind of like driving the e21 more in a way... i must be dumb.

Actually call me crazy, as well, but driving the M3 is actually work in comparison to the E21. Its pleasurable work, but you really cant sit back and relax half as much as in the E21. That aside, the brakes are so different, it takes me a good 5 minutes of throwing the old man forwards to adapt to the brake pedal. E21 pedal sinks a bit... lol
