Kit is currently on the car. Comes with everything including all brackets, nuts, bolts, hoses, injectors, pulley, etc.

Currently has a 2.93" Blower pulley good for 9 PSI.

Does NOT come with software.

Discharge piping needs to be reworked.

Blower has been upgraded with ceramic bearings and wider internal belt to handle 9 PSI with zero issues.

All you will need is software and preferably to redo the discharge piping.

Would also highly recommend a BPV as mine will not be for sale.

Asking $1150

edit: forgot to mention this is a Powerdyne BD-11A

How many miles on the unit? Are you accepting any trades?

I will consider trades...need turbo parts, tires, stock injectors, stock software etc.

I'm not sure of the actual mileage because I'm not the original owner, however I did rebuild it as mentioned about 4 or 5000 miles ago so it's good to go. the blower spins smooth as butter. no abnormalities, no weird sounds, it's in perfect shape.

It will work on a 97 all you need is the correct software. Again this kit doesn't come with software.

I'll get some pics up either tommorrow or sunday. I won't be able to lay everything out because it's still on the car. Plus side to that is since it's been on the car and running you can rest assured you're getting a complete kit minus the software.

It does come with all the discharge piping as well as a few misc pieces but you'll need to fix it. Basically you'll need to get either a samco TB boot or have an elbow welded on to your throttle body either should work fine. I've got everything else you need. couplers, extenders, 3" pipe which you'll have to cut to size, t-bolt clamps etc.

No dynos and I'm selling to make room for a turbo this winter. Similar setups have produced in the neighborhood of 300whp.

I'll also be more than happy to assist you with the installation. It's way too easy and only takes about an afternoon start to finish. No oil lines or anything to run either being that it's the BD-11A unit.

why does the software not come with it if you are wanting stock software also? im confused...

also which BPV do you suggest for this setup? is one better then the other?

one more thing, do you have any pics?

+1 i want to see pics of it!

Working on the pics I will have them up later today.

For software, I custom tuned the DME but never had time to finish which is why I won't be including software. I suppose I could, but its not even close to optimal and runs really rich.

I would recommend a Bosch 710N bypass valve. I do have an HKS SSQV (knockoff) with flange I can throw in for an extra $100, which will work, but it would vent metered air to the atmosphere which isn't ideal.

What kinda power would my car put down you think? It is a 99 m3 with cams, headers, exhaust, CAI

around 300whp

actually lowering the price to $1150 so someone can get a great deal on this.

Would this fit on a 97 328 or would I have to get a new bracket?

everything should fit fine. somebody correct me if im wrong but im almost 100% sure it would. you would just need tuning.

Has this been rebuilt with the ABEC7 bearings? Or are you still using the ABEC5 ones? Does it come with the new Kevlar belt as well?

rootuddha

Neither, these are ceramic bearings and yes it has the wider kevlar belt installed. The kit came from superchargerrebuilds.com who specialize in Powerdyne blowers.

how much whine does this make at idle, cruise, and WOT?

practically none, the BD-11A is a lot quieter than a gear driven blower.

practically none, the BD-11A is a lot quieter than a gear driven blower.

I can vouch for this, these blowers are quite enough to not even know its there during all operating conditions, however I never squeezed 9psi out of one. Just a little pssshh during shifts but thats a good noise.

If it doesn't work are you willing to buy it back? I am interested but don't know if it will fit my 1997 M3. If you can find out, then you got yourself a deal...

Sorry to be OT, but what is the difference between a vortech and powerdyne supercharger? Aren't they both the same centrifugal setup?

ramsing
11-15-2007, 11:08 PM
powerdyne is internal belt driver, vortech is gear driven.
