I need to replace the idlier pully replacement on this 2000 528I, the only access is by removing the fan shroud and getting my hands on it. The tenisoner pulley had already been replaced. Dose anyone have any suggestios as to advise on any other method and where is the best price. Can i just buy the part at any auto part store??

I had to replace my pully last week on the side of the beach...

You have to remove the fan and shroud. Thats the best and easiest way to replace it. I got my replacement pully at the dealer for around $50. I've seen them on ebay for slightly less. Whatever you do, I recommend getting an oem one.
