Just turned 60!

2005 Z4 3.0 6 Speed - leased through my business and daily driver (work, work, work!).

2006 Z4 M Roadster - weekends, trips and anytime I'm not driving the 3.0. Lease rates were so low, I had to have the ///M experience!

My wife drives our 2006 F150 10 miles a day - that's why she got to pick out!

Best!

Ha! I grew up in Bakersfield. Buttonwillow Raceway is my "home" track. My parents still live there, I'm actually stopping by to check on my dad, who's recovering from open heart surgery, this weekend.

My dad always said " you are only as old as you feel and that tends to vary from day to day".

I was born in Bakersfield and lived in Shafter for the first few years of my life! Was just down there a few weeks ago to pick up my Grandfather's '58 Nash Metro which will be my project car next year.

Also, I got to a point where I said "if not now, when?" My family was 100% behind me.

As I am only 49, I decided purchasing a Z4 coupe would help me prepare for turning 50! Of course, that only makes sense if one were to actually wait until the B-day. Not an option after the test drive.

34. I popped in to see, simply because I felt like one of the youngest at this year's Roadster Homecoming and wondered if that was coincidence or the way things were in the Z community.

Good to know that I've got more fun to look forward to. Especially after seeing jmillet throw his "Geek" around the track in that picture above!!

Interesting thing - I'm planning to switch to a Z4 M Coupe and have been going back through all the old articles on them. One of them mentions that the typical Z4M owner is a financially secure male in his 40s - everything else I've read says the non-M Z4 variants were targeted towards both genders in their 50s.

Wow... I'm 27. Wonder what i'll be driving when i'm 50? Having this car now means i will have to get an F-Car for my "Midlife Crisis" :) . Whomever came up with the idea of a midlife crisis is brilliant. Gives you an excuse to buy your favorite toy and the only thing you have to hear about it is that you are going through a midlife crisis.
