I was just reading over this homebrewer thread from OT ( http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=848971 ) and wanted to see if anyone local does this. I have never tried, but I have a friend who did it once or twice. I never got to see the process or sample his goods. I was hoping if some local people are already into it we could get a few people together to help us brewing virgins decide if it's a hobby worth trying
anyone?

It's certainly not a bad idea .. I have some friends who are doing it .. my father did it for a bit .. it's quite simple to be honest .. and most DIY kits are a great way to start .. then when it comes down to experimenting with different flavors etc. .. THEN it can get a bit complicated .. but if you're good at math, then figuring out ratios won't be too bad.. I know a True Value hardware store down the road from me sells DIY kits which aren't too pricey, maybe one near you does too?
