I placed an order for 335xi coupe in October and the dealer told me that when I will be picking up the car in November if the rates go down my monthly lease payments will go down. Does anyone know what is the rate for this month for 335xi coupe for 36 months' lease? Also, do you think dealers will "honestly" lower my payments? Anyone heard of this actually happening?

Thank you.

If BMW lowers the MF then the payments will be lower, it is not the dealer's right to increase the MF although some may try while others may even be allowed to lower it further. I am not sure what the MF is, but someone will give you the number. Take it in and make sure you do the calculations before hand. If the dealer numbers are higher, challenge them. Had that happen to me before and they apologized for the alleged "mistake". Knowledge is power.

Now off topic, with a name like that, I am wondering why you didn't choose the convertible :devillook (no offense intended, just playing :stickoutt).

Thank you. My car should be arriving in a couple of weeks. I need to transfer my plates from old car to new car and was thinking to call in a few days and give them my registration so that I dont waste any time when the car gets to the dealership. Do you think I should ask them about the interest rate over the phone when I call or when I come to pick up the car?

Best to be prepared before you walk in. Use a lease calculator to figure out what your payments should be. Search this forum, there are many good threads on leasing.

I just found this somewhere online:
October 2007 - 36 Month – Residual 58% of MSRP – .00235 Base Rate
November 2007 - 36 Month – Residual 61% of MSRP – .00200 Base Rate
I guess they lowered it in November. Suprising actually...

make sure it is for the 335xi, it varies by model.

Yes, I just checked says it is for the 335xi coupe. Phew - I hope the dealer will not make it very hard for me .
Thanks for all your suggestions. Cannot wait until my car arrives in the States.

That seems like a big change in the residual value percentage. That alone should lower your payment about $40 a month.

I have a feeling that these rates that I found for 335xi 2008 coupe online from someone could be wrong. I recall my dealer said the residual value was @ 60% not 59%.

36 months is 60% for 15,000miles
mf is .00235 for 2008
mf is .00200 on 2007 models

They are posted on the site above every month, usually by around the 5th day of each month.

Ask to see their books, they should show you the current rate, and the "buy down" rate.

Thank you guys with your help. I'll try my luck with them when I come to pick up the car in a few weeks.
