Hi guys,
I'm new around here, just wanted to say hello!
Bought the one BMW I've truly lusted after and am looking forward to making it a great example and competing in autocross and SCCA Solo racing with it. It's an 06 M coupe, Black Sapphire Metallic, Dark brown leather with carbon leather trim and the usual options. Planning a few modifications, any suggestions I've missed?
* Clutch delay valve delete
* H&R Coilovers
* 19" wheels for street use (where does one grab a set of the M3 competition package metal?)
* R-compounds for the stock wheels.
* Recaro Pole Positions (anyone know who sells a set of rails for these, I know TCKline has done it, but they were one-off's)
* Exhaust, exhaust, exhaust!
* Getting rid of the awful side reflector dots

I'll probably find some new things pretty quickly, I tend to get carried away, and actually plan on keeping this car for a while. It's practical, fun and pretty quick. Good bang for the buck. At least until I can grab a GT3 at some attainable price!

Look forward to conversing further, until then.
James

Welcome to the group--the most fun you can have in one place. Except for driving your new Z4M Coupe!

Nice car. I'd be careful and do some serious research on the H&R coilovers as other Coupe owners have not been happy with them at all.

Plus make sure if you shave your corner lights that you are not going to render your insruance invalid. Since you have a black car, you might want to try taking a black marker and smoking the lens yourself. Others have done it and it looked fine.

Did you buy that car locally or import it from the States?

Welcome to the club, so I guess after searching all summer you finally found your car. We should get together sometime before the next Porsche Club event.

Hey y'all, will keep in touch about how the H&R's work. I sell alot of their products and figured I would give them a shot on this car (new product research, right!?), I really like their street coilovers on some Porsche's we had set up. Should be a good value compared to the KW's. We'll see.

Kam, look forward to autocrossing the car alot, and will be tracking the car with the PCA, Morrisport, Performance Drivers Club, some of my own days and doing some SCCA solo at Mission. Should be a little intimidating for the Porsche's with a couple of black M coupe's out there! Feel free to drop by the shop if you're in the neighbourhood, the car will be there most days.

Did get the car in the US, couldn't turn down that kind of savings on a practically brand new car (@ 25% off).

Look forward to more seat time and some much needed modifications.
