im more into rally racing and i plan to rally my 87 528e but first i need a few speed tricks. what can i do to my engine that willl boost my hp to a tad more then the junk 121 it has stock? i know a turbo but would any turbo fit i.e. ,maybe an eagle tallon turbo as i could add to any early90's civic?

1.motor swap
2.turbo
3.buy a faster car

Awww.... come on Prozak! Don't be so hard on him. If you want your 528e to go fast, drop it out of an airplane! JK! I can do the ton in mine but I don't hold my breath while heading towards triple digits. I figured it was time for some mods at about 140,000 miles. Replaced the airfilter with K&N and put a Turner Motorsports chip in it and..... smoky 3rd gear burnouts! Well, not exactly but a definite improvement and a with an outlay of less that $100, it fit my budget. And putting a turbo on the M20 engine? Kind of like polishing a turd. Sure it can be done, but why bother.

Can you do a 325i head, intake manifold, comp and 88 325e pistons in an e28? I don't see a reason for the mechanical parts not to work; the comp would be the only thing that might not. That would bring you up to about 190.
